It all began in 1976 with one man responsible for cleaning 18,000 telephone booths. Our first building cleaning contract was Pacific Bell and we grew quickly from there. First, a few Government jobs came in, then 30 United California Banks, followed by 90 Crocker National Banks and 40 Bank of America branches. The combined total square footage for all 160 banks was an astounding 1,300,000 sq. ft!
In the 1980’s, we increased to cleaning nearly 3,000,000 square feet of office space per night. Our service area expanded to include Lancaster, Pomona, Ventura, and the Inland Empire. With accounts such as Xerox, Honeywell, Home Savings and Loan, and S. E. Rykoff, our name and reputation continued to grow.
During the 90’s, there was no slow down. Some of the customers added to our client list were The Walt Disney Company and Resort, Universal City Walk, Amgen, and Avery, just to name a few.
In July of 2010, we restructured and reorganized. This was done for two reasons: first, with the growth of the company, there was an opportunity to bring aboard the 3rd generation of Garcias into the business; second, this was done to establish as a Woman-Owned Minority-Owned Business (WMBE). The company is extremely excited to have achieved this important milestone and remains a family-owned business to this day .
In 2015, Hands On Services, LLC, was established to complete the transformation into a complete environmentally conscious company, focused on the senior downsizing, hoarder homes and the fast-growing, yet under-served, solar panel industry.
Hands On Service, LLC stands by its history and continues to move forward with this ever changing and challenging industry.
